Annex 2
Guide to publishers
JECFA meetings, which have been held on a regular basis since 1956,
generally result in three separate publications: a concise report of
all the main conclusions reached during the meeting, a set of detailed
toxicological monographs for the substances evaluated, and a volume
recording specifications for the purity and identity of food
additives or residue monographs on veterinary drugs.
Many of these documents are available on-line. Most of the reports are
available in PDF. Toxicological monographs are available on INCHEM (www.inchem.org)
and specifications are available at
http://www.fao.org/ag/agn/agns/jecfa_archive_en.asp. Annex 1 of this summary lists the
reports and other documents resulting from previous meetings of JECFA and
provides links to the documents that are available on-line.
Reports: The WHO
Technical Report Series
With two early exceptions, all reports of JECFA meetings have been published
as volumes in the WHO Technical Report Series. The sole exceptions are the
reports of the 3rd and 4th meetings, which were published by FAO.
